Following up on BitX 17a – IF Filter, @n8dmt suggested that I could use a nanoVNA for this as well. After some fiddling with settings, I got it to work! The results are slightly different than what I measured before.

@blog Thinking that the indicated 20 dB of insertion loss is likely filter termination coupling loss against the 1 Mohm scope input compared to the NanoVNA’s 50 ohm receiver input. It’s definitely a learning experience. You’re probably right about the impedance mismatch. I used two scope probes for the nanoVNA, and checking them now I have one flipped to 1x and one to 10x. #oops
